I booked a gel manicure and pedicure through a Groupon, and unfortunately, I would not recommend this salon. Upon arrival, the greeting felt very minimal, I barely received a hello, and I was asked if I spoke Spanish. The pedicure setup was also very improvised. Instead of proper equipment, I had to balance my foot on a padded wooden board with a bucket to soak my feet. I had recently sprained my ankle, so this was uncomfortable. During the service, the technician complained briefly with a sentence about how much nail cutting I needed (remember, I recently sprained my ankle so avoiding pedicures was in my doctor’s orders), and another staff member made a comment stereotyping “Chinese people.” I’m Filipina, and beyond being incorrect, the generalization was inappropriate. I also understand Spanish even if I don’t speak it, which made the comments even more disappointing. Overall, I’m glad I only paid the Groupon price. Based on my experience, I wouldn’t return and wouldn’t recommend to anyone I know.
